I think you got a pretty good deal. Those knives are built like tanks. I would say that for right now, I'd put that Becker away, and wait for the new KaBar Beckers. I think the Camillus Becker knives, if left unused, are going to just go up in value. I normally would say use it, but with KaBar introducing their Beckers supposedly later this year, I'd maybe hold on to it for now.
I'm waiting on the new KaBars to come out. I keep bidding on fleabay, but I haven't won a Becker yet.
I have a Becker BK7 that I got for $40. two years ago, and that stands as the best deal I ever got on any knife, quality with price. I've done more with my Becker than I can list here.
One mod you can make involves the handle. They're hollow, and you need an Allen wrench to get them off. I switched to slotted stainless screws. (You can put them on a stove burner on high heat for a minute or two, then use tongs and drop them in a glass of water. That turns them dark.) The tang on the BK2 is solid, so you'd only have the hollow cavity inside the handles. There's plenty of room for storing some all weather matches, and a cotton ball or two, covered with vaseline.
I always had a SAK with me, and the screws I used fit the SAK screwdriver perfectly; so, you can at least start a fire out there in the boonies if need be.
