Camillus and Ka-Bar...

I have a curious question...

What is the relationship between Camillus and Ka-Bar. You both carry the USMC WWII fighting knife, with USMC logo on the sheath.

Before I got into collecting, I always thought Ka-Bar was the originator of the USMC knife. However, I see that you guys also carry it.

So, I was just wondering what the relationship was between the 2 companies, thats all.

I heard from another forumite's comment is that while Kabar marketed their USMC knife back at the war, Camillus was busy making the USMC knives.
They both produced them.
I dunno whether there was dialog between the both of them, but I know that Camillus' version is the mil-spec one while the Kabar isn't quite so anymore. Difference is in the sheath and the coating.
