I have two Camillus aniversary knives, one is a fixed blade US fighting style knife, the other is a stockman style #73.
Both knives say sword brand, hand made on the boxes and the blades of the knives.
The #73 is in a 100th year box, the fighting knife is in a 99th year box.
If my figuring is correct Camillus 99th year aniversary should have been in 1975 and their 100th aniversary should have been in 1976.
Does this sound correct?

Best Regards

They must have done more than one type of anniversary knife then?

I have this, which also is a 100 year anniversary model from 1976. Tang marked 200, as it's also a US Bicentennial year commemorative knife. There was also another one, a two blade pen knife I think.

There were two 100th anniversary knives made in 1976-Models #100 and #200. Approximately 10,000 of each knife were made.
Hunter Customs has some knives that were made in 1975 and 1976. They are not anniversary or commemorative knives. The boxes were marked that way to show how long Camillus had been in business. In 1976 Camillus used red, white and blue boxes and even the knife displays were made with these colors for the 100th anniversary of Camillus and the bicentenial of the U.S.A.
The company hosted a dinner for all the employees that worked at Camillus in 1976 and each person received a commerative knife.

Guys it looks like I'm doing something wrong. I don't think I've changed the way I'm posting pictures, but they seem to be posting more as thumb nails than at a more viewable size. Anyone who be more puter literate than me have an idea what I changed?

A big Thank You goes out to sac troop and Vit_213 for posting this information on BF. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Note the similarity between the two Camillus 100th anniversary knives and the Buck 300 series. Camillus made approximately 10,000 of each of the two models. Way too many to be a limited edition. I was selling them for many years after Camillus celebrated its 100th anniversary and there were most likely some of these knives left when the company closed in February of 2007.

My eye went to the slanted bolsters and I felt I should know if Camillus made very many slanted bolster folders with their own stamping but did not. I will have to start watching for one to go in the 'almost' Buck collection. 300Bucks
