The ArcLite (I think that was the name) was a little Ralph designed neck knife made by Camillus way back when.

Apparently somebody bought the Camillus name and are making some older models.

Does anybody know if that neck knife is going to be re-released?

I have the AGRussell limited edition with a better steel [154CM ? ]. I assume any re-release won't be very good steel.

I think the originals were 420HC...maybe not the best, but worked ok. I just liked the design...would be happy if the re-released it.

I have one that I've never carried--it didn't come with a sheath as it was bought at Camillus when they were closing their doors. Seems like a pretty good knife. I don't think it's 420HC or I wouldn't have bought it. I'll check when I can find it.

I believe the unsharpened blanks that were sold when Camillus was shutting its doors were 440HC steel hardened to 58-60 RC.

If the new version is at least AUS8, I'm sure it'll be good and afforadable - as it's a simple one-piece neck knife. I too would like to know who is making them. I know both Black Jack International and Boker are now selling the Darrel Ralph-designed models based on the Camillus Heat.

The AGRussell version is made of D2. I wouldn't buy the original because it had a poor steel ! Probably 420 or 420HC.
