Where can I find knife parts for Camillus/Becker knives?? Specifically the CAM1A1 bayonet?? What happened to all of the parts after the auction??
Also, what is the best source for the Becker knife blanks?? I have been seeing a few on Ebay. Any other sources for purchase?

Best,
Webbdad

Welcome to Blade Forums! :)

I believe all the parts you were looking for were purchased by Smokey Mountain Knifeworks.

They have probably sold them on by now, so what you see on eBay is probably all there is.

By the way, the CAM1A1 bayonet was a Camillus product, not BK&T.
What sort of parts do you need for your bayonet?

You might try Numrich. No promises made here, but twice (for me) they've had stuff that no one anywhere had. For mil-spec parts, even for a knife, they might have what you're looking for. Good luck with your search.

I am looking specifically for the nut /bolt that holds the handle in place. I would like to find all parts less the blade itself, but could make do with just the handle retention bolt/nut.

My mistake on calling it a Becker. I had read somewhere that Ethan was invloved with the project.

Email back from SMKW states that they do not carry replacement parts. Who ended up with all the small and misc parts?

I go to my local Ace Hardware store for nuts & bolts.
They have one of the best selections in town.
I was even able to find very small fine thread metric nuts for a WWII Nazi dagger at my Ace.
If you don't have a great hardware store, try an industrial supplier of fasteners. You will likely be surprised at what they have or can get.

Sometimes I have to make parts, but for old knives, as long as you aren't looking for a perfect match.

I am confused to that you are looking for Webbdad.

The CAM1-A1 Bayonet did not employ handle screws; the handle is of a 1 piece co-molded construction, & it is held in place by the butt latch plate.

The Becker knives have 3 Socket Head Cap Screws & nuts.

It appears that the vast majority of the loose parts went as Scrap! :grumpy:

I do have a few parts in my tool box though. :D

Phil,

What I think I am looking for is the hidden nut/bolt that hold the butt cap. The handle is keyhole drilled and you insert the flatsided nut into a slit ijn the blade tang. Then insert blade w/nut into the handle. Add the butt cap and insert/tighten screw.

Am I on track or way off???

Webbdad,

You have the detail of bayonet assembly right!
Sorry I got

The bolt should be easy to find, the threaded tang insert will have to be made; I do not know of an existing piece of hardware that can be substituted.

I hope this helps.

I know this is decades old bit do you know where to still get parts for the CAM1A1? Like the part that holds the pliers or even the pliers. Also does anyone know why some look unfinished on the blade and some look like they are coated in black oxide. Mine is black/green handle and all black sheath. No pliers or clip to hold them in. Thanks
