Does anyone know or can help me find out info on my camillus bk71 operation Iraqi freedom edition? Can't find anything about these perticular models.

Got any pics? Does it actually say Iraqi freedom? The more information you give us, the better the chance someone will have the knowledge you seek
 
I can take pics and post them soon but yes it says Iraqi freedom and I have number 1 of like 1000 or so. It is in the desert tan just can't find any info on them.
 
So it's basically the desert tan version and someone, whether camillus, distributor or dealer engraved it. How did you get it? Were you issued it?
 
It could be a kabar I have it in my safe, I'm pretty sure it's camillus bk&t. It is the desert tan version but it's got etching not stamped Iraqi freedom. I was not issued but picked up during a transaction with my camillus bk 77.
 
I just don't know if these are legit or knock off because I can't find any info on them. I will post some pics soon,but it is new in the green camillus box not the black and brown kabar box.
 
Sorry - I wasn't thinking BK&T (even though your opening post said that). Kabar had the Iraqi Freedom, which was based on their 1217.
The BK101 is a BK10 from 2003's desert series (along with BK71 & BK91)
What, specifically did you want to know?

A picture would help...I'm not aware of any BK101s being etched Iraqi Freedom; but that certainly doesn't mean anything.

It's possibly a bk10 but it's desert tan so I'm thinking it's a 101. My question is we're there a such thing as these Iraqi freedom edition kabars/camillus knives.
 
The BK101 was a Cam BK10, produced in 2003, with the desert tan colors (from the factory).
The Kabar Iraqi Freedom was a model 1217, laser etched commemorative...I think there were versions for Army, Navy, and Marines; which were stamped on the side opposite the etching.
Give me a few minutes - I'll look for pictures.

Okay I know it's late,but it's officially a bk&t 71 not 101. Sorry for that,but I'm gonna post some pics I have it in my hand.

This is the only picture I have of this Becker, but it's the size of a BK 9 with a different number designation. I got this one maybe 16 years ago, and there was a whole series of Becker models in the tan. Ask a mod to move this to the Becker subforum or repost there and you will get your answers pretty quick.

yes I'm still trying to post picks,it's just like that but bk7 version and it has a couple fighter jets etched in and says operation Iraqi freedom number 1 of 1000. Let me work on pics
