So, I was lucky enough to score a BK11 from GeofS GeofS and it was a neat compliment to my BK14s.

The blade stock is slightly thinner on these older neckers than the BK14 and the coating was smoother as well.

The sabre grind of the Camillus BK-11 makes it thicker near the upper tip than the BK14, which makes the tip strong, but significantly worse for poking / stabbing / drilling and also slicing.

On top of that, this particular BK11 had the tip ground / rounded off .

So I decided that I wanted to go all in on a little slicer with a pointer tip... So I ground in a clip point with a bit of a swedge and then stripped the blade and left it with a bit of a user patina on it.

My first time modifying a knife.

It's now a bit of a baby-bowie or a mini BK17, necker edition. :p
I honestly think that @Ethan Becker should bring out a tiny sabre ground clip point. Such a great, little pocket or neck EDC!

Whaddya think!?

I think clip-point knifes look real cool, Good job!

I agree about the smoother coating, and I noticed my Cammie 11 was the prettiest grind wise of all my stripped Beckers (other than that tip, haha)
....almost no grind lines, Very smooth! Unlike my 5 which looks like a beaver chewed on it!

The height of the top sabre line is different from left to right on mine.

The finish was nice, but the grinding was a bit off.

I never liked / was drawn to clip points and would have preferred a BK16 to a BK17...

...until I ground one in myself. I have a new appreciation for them now and really think they help a TON with slicing, as well as the other more obvious detail work and pokiness benefits.

Spear-point pokiness with a drop-point belly and a swedged trailing-point sliciness.
