Thanks zzyzzogeton, fleabay is where I saw the the so called BK&T bayonet . No stamp marks of any kind where ever visible it did have the cam box.Ethan stated (in some thread) that he had nothing to do with the bayonet. I never saw any Becker reference to the bayonet, just an occasional claim that it was, usually an offering on fleabay, along with a Camillus BK&T box.
What did happen is that when Camillus closed the doors, Smokey Mountain Knife Works bought a LOT of stuff, including a large amount of "large boxes" of the bayonets, sheaths, cutters, etc. They also bought a lot of Camillus BK&T empty boxes. I think that SMKW did a little creative marketing by putting a Camillus developed/made knife in a Camillus BK&T box. Caveat Emptor.
The Camillus CAM1A1 was a bayonet developed by Camillus for the XM8 rifle, which was not adopted by the Army. It came with black handles with green inserts and a green sheath, or desert tan handles with gray inserts and a black sheath.
I have one somewhere in a box of bayonets, as well as a couple of pictures snitched from the web. Just have to figure out where I saved them.
