These blades were part of the inventory that was sold when Camillus closed their doors forever. All were hardened and ground at the factory. The top one is marked "OVB" ( our very best) and I am pretty sure it is a Fisk design called the "Sendero" It came with a new leather sheath also. These were pretty expensive knives when they were sold.
The second blade is stamped "2000" over "Camillus NY USA"
I'm not sure what knife this blank is for but I suspect it is a lesser quality blade than the OVB.
The bottom is a Becker BK2 Campanion w/out the powdercoat, of course. It was not known which maker was going to produce the Becker designs at the time and I wanted to get a blade for a custom build.

The Becker would get a decent price on EBAY
The bushcrafters like the BK2's

I just sold my Fisk OVB on EBAY for 50 bucks

I thought i had it well oiled
I went to look in my drawer and it had some very minor, early stage corrosion:mad:
I think it may have been touching an old leather sheath or something
S0...Make sure you store and oil it properly
Learn from my mistake....hehehhehe

This may help with the specs of your OVB

Thanks for the reminder about blade maintenance and for the link to the OVB knives. I find it interesting that the OVB is made from the same steel as the BK2. A post from the past on this forum by a former Camillus employee said that the steel used on the Camillus Beckers was actually the same steel (Carbon V) that they used to make Cold Steel knives but they could not call it by that name so he invented the "0170-6C" designation.
I am glad that Beckers are still being made by a reputable U.S. company. I have a finished BK2 that was made by Camillus and also one made by Blackjack knives. The Campanion is my favorite of entire Becker line.
