Let me come back here with my hat in my hand and my head hung down. I was not precise in talking about Camillus/Buck heritage.
Earlier I said that Buck 303s had slanted bolsters, which sounded like Camillus Stockman did not. But I must remove my foot from my mouth and say, Camillus sold what I am now going to call a Buck 303 size/style knife with Camillus markings. In fact let me just keep being bold and say they were likely over-runs on the Buck contract 303, remarked as a Camillus knife.
The 303 stockman three blade had its knife, bolt and hammer shield replaced with a Camillus shield. The tangs of the main clip blade show grinding marks with some Camillus 'printing' over the ground off area. This same style of "recycling" was apparent in a Camillus made Remington 303 size and style printed tang and shield knife also. One odd thing though, neither the Camillus or Remington have a swedge on top of the clip blade as the Bucks all did. All of these were from the Buck 1974 - 85 contract era.
I have three stolen photos from Ebay, I give credit to the seller Doodlefroodle. Alas, I thought I had one in my odd-ball box but since the auction is over and it sold for a fair price, I cannot find it.
