Bonjour,

Good morning,

To start, I want to apologize for my very long absence due to the disease, I will a little better and I will try to be more present. My collection of old U.S. knives is enlarged and I would like to ask you for your help to identify a knife from Camillus that I have had for some time and which I can find no information on the net. Here are the photos of this knife.

Thank you

Knife was made 1993 - . :).

The C-4 blade goes to a 5 blade scout / camp knife like this one -

.

C-4 was the 4th knife in their 30.06 cartridge knives ( Not to be confused with their other cartridge lines), which were mainly made 1993- 2000 or so.

There are three possible ways your knife could've came into being -

1) Legitimate Camillus over run. Sometimes Camillus would make up knives from spare parts just to get rid of them. They normally sold them cheap to Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Tennessee.

2) Worker's "lunch box" knife, which means a worker made a personal knife from spare parts.

3) Regular parts knife. When Camillus closed in 2007, piles of unused parts were sold off to whoever would buy them. Many of these parts were turned into working but odd knives.
