Camillus catalogs

A lot has been talked about here about Camillus knives, but I would like to have 15 minutes at Camillus to haul out as many catalogs, from present, back to the early years, as I could carry.
So much history and information is stored in them, it would be a shame to lose it. I know someone will wind up with them, but...... well, I want my share too.

I've managed to acquire a few, though nowhere nearly a complete set. Mr. Vickery (lrv in the Schrade Collector's forum) has agreed to create a section of his website for the display of Camillus knives and catalogs, advertisements, brochures and historic photo displays. This is, as I have discovered, the only and best way to properly share these materials with fellow collectors. There is no way I could meet the requests for copies by mailing paper copies, or scan discs. And I will not sell reprints on eBay as some others have done with ISC materials.

Camillus collectors.
We are playing catch-up here, much like what happened with Schrade. Before the material is lost it would be wonderful to get it copied and make it available on the internet for those wanting research and historical information.
I had been collecting Schrade printed material for about 2 years before their closing and am amazed at how much has been lost. There are gaps of years without material having been saved.

If anyone is interested in submitting any Camillus material for the planned site I will gladly scan/photo and return said material, marking the submitter in a watermark on the document. Nothing I have on my site is or will be for sale.

You can contact me at lrvickery@comcast.net
Thanks

As of yesterday I am now affiliated with the Camillus Historical Society and we are attempting to acquire the old photos, employee records, catalogs and Camillus memorabilia from the company. These will be kept in the community for present and future generations to preserve and enjoy.
Camillus has a large quantity of photos, sales literature and manufacturing records that date back to the early 1900's.
