Hi folk's , I just bought two of the CCC-4 slipjoint collectors jackknives that Camillus
made in 1995 from A.G. Russell's. Am really quite taken with them as they look to be
very useful with the blade combination they offer.

The CCC-4 is a very large jackknife with a 5 1/2" bone handle , a 4 1/4" main clip & a
3 1/8" pen blade. To me this blade combination is just great for utility uses. Sure, it's
supposed to be a collecors piece ,but I'll let someone else collect them I'm gona use
mine. Since I carry a 4 1/4" Camillus made stockman as my favorite knife it's clear I'm a
die hard slipjoint fan. So the CCC-4 will be used in a rotation as needed. This is a really
nice big knife.

What I'd like to know is the blade steel on the CCC-4 the same as my stockman in 440A??
Can anyone help with this??

Tightwad,
Yup, its 440A. And a nice slipjoint at that! Enjoy carrying it!

Thanks for being a customer, and happy holidays:)

Will, Thank's for the reply. I do have one more question if you have the time.

Since the CCC-4 offers such very useful blade shape choice and a very comfortable
handle is it possible that Camillus might offer this knife with a lock on the main
blade and in a lighter handle material in the same size?? What a mega knife it
would be!!!

I know that one handers are all the rage now ,but a knife with more than one blade
will always be better than a single blade could ever be. How about it?? Any chance?

Thank's again.
