Camillus Classic Cartridge Series (PIC HEAVY)

The Camillus Classic Cartridge Series consists of 7 knives:

CCC-1 -- .45-70 Gov't (Large Bullet Trapper)
CCC-2 -- .30-30 Winchester (Equal End Moose)
CCC-3 -- 7mm Mauser (Large Toothpick)
CCC-4 -- .257 Roberts (Banana Trapper)
CCC-5 -- .45 Colt (Baby Bullet Trapper)
CCC-6 -- .44 Remington Magnum (Bullet Lockback)
CCC-7 -- .270 Winchester (Camp/Scout)

An interesting note from Tom Williams, former Camillus Historian:

[...] A model #CCC8 was planned for the Camillus Classic Cartridge Series, but never went into production. This knife would have been a single blade lock back (similar to a Remington model #R1253) with a 250 Savage cartridge shield.

CCC-1 -- .45-70 Gov't (Large Bullet Trapper)

As the name indicates, the 45-70 Gov't cartridge was first introduced as a military round (back in 1873, just three years before the founding of Camillus Cutlery). And sportsmen have been familiar with the 45-70 Gov't cartridge for more than a century. So it's fitting that this classic cartridge is the first to be commemorated on a new series of limited-edition collectable knives. There's a handsome etching of the 45-70 Gov't cartridge on the 3 9/16" clip blade with the Camillus Classic Cartridge logo engraved on the 3 9/16" spey blade. Both blades are 440 Stainless Steel.

A traditional knife this fine wouldn't be complete without genuine jigged bone handles. And the authentic cartridge head shield with inert primer echoes the theme of this highly desirable offering.

Of course, there are all the other quality construction features you'd expect. Nickel-silver bolsters and pivot pin. And solid brass liners. 4 ?/16" overall length closed. ///CCC1 - Avalilable Second Quarter 1991

CCC-2 -- .30-30 Winchester (Equal End Moose)

The lore, the excitement, the rich traditions of the American West have included courageous people, with special rifles and ammunition. The .30-30 Winchester was the first American, Small bore, smokeless sporting cartridge. Introduced in 1895, the .30-30 was available in the now-famous Model 94 lever action rifle.

The .30-30 is the second classic American cartridge to be commemorated in the Camillus Classic Cartridge series of limited edition collectable knives. Each CCC2 has genuine jigged bone handles with authentic .30-30 Winchester cartridge head shield with inert primer. The spey blade has an etch of the .30-30 cartridge while the CamilluS ClassiC CartridgE(tm) logo is etched on the Turkish clip blade.

7 x 57mm Mauser

Created in 1892, the 7 x 57mm Mauser was first tested on the battleground of San Juan Hill in the Spanish-American War. Modern users of the highly effective 7 x 57mm Mauser have found it to be one of the best all-around calibers available for North American big game.

The 7 x 57mm Mauser is the third classic cartridge to be commemorated in the CamilluS ClassiC CartridgE(tm) series of limited edition collectable knives.

The commercial version of the .257 Roberts was released by Remington in 1934. Based on the 7x57mm Mauser, necked down to .257. The Roberts is often referred to as "the most useful rifle cartridge ever developed".

The .257 Roberts is the fourth classic cartridge to be commemorated in the CamilluS ClassiC CartridgE(tm) series of limited edition knives.

Since this seems like it will likely become a future reference place for info on these knives, I have a couple questions to add and maybe we can find the answers to... 1st.. Does anyone have the total production numbers for each one of these knives in this series? 2nd.. Does anyone know what the issue price was when each one initially came out? Thanks again
