I heard that there is going to be a Cuda Maxx in a 7" blade. Anyone know anything about this? When is it coming out? Where can I get it? How much?

Check out the Camillus forum for more details on the folding short sword. This is supposed to be a limited edition run with an enhanced pivot.

Yep. AFAIK, it will be limited to 500 pieces and has a larger pivot. That isn't really a bad price for such a MASSIVE folder.

Price seems kinda high for a blade that is 1.5 inches longer

And a bigger pivot, longer handle, little higher fit and finish all around, scallops in the lock bar, not to mention it's a limited edition. There's a lot more to the price than just the materials. I saw this at Blade and it was well worth what they are asking for it. I got to compare custom Darrel Ralph's to Camillus' versions, and the Camillus knives weren't far off the mark. The handles on Darrel's Aftermath and Camillus' Aftermath were practically indistinguishable, seriously. I went straight from Darrel's booth to Camillus to compare the two. My local knife shop is getting two of the Gibbs Max's; mine is already spoken for :D .

Here is a pic of the NEW MADD MAXX II versions of my 7 inch .
Camillus is using the flat frames on the MAXX'S.
Mine are rounded and can be had with inlays, different carving, S30v and other options. The new 4 inch and 5.5 Aftermaths will come with inlay if you want. They will be available with a dagger blade also. All of my knives from the 3 inch MADD MAXX II to the 7 inch Gibbs and the Aftermaths can be power assist also if you want. Just an update.
These pics are all GIBBS MADD MAXX II knives.
Take a look at my site. I have amny more new MADD MAXX II knives on MY site now.
I will be bringing out the 4.25 inch Dominator soon also!
It will power assist or manual.

Hi,
I dont think it will ever be available from Camillus. Sorry. I make the Trident custom! It was named that for the blade shape. I make the same (CELTIC WAR HAMMER) carving on the frame with other blade shapes also.
All of the customs I make are totally different than the Camillus versions now. I did this so that folks could distinguish between the customs and the factory versions.
The frame is rounded also on all of the custom ti frame knives I make now.

Hey Darrel,

Sense you are answering questions I have one too. What is the knife in the picture for the link to the “knife kits” off of the main page on your site? It looks something like the Wilson Combat CQB blade with a reshaped and bolstered handle and I don’t see it listed as any of the kits (or maybe it’s just the picture angel or something).

Edited to add: Well I think that I can answer my own question. It's the DDR3 Tac, correct? I followed the link to knifekits.com after posting the first part (an act a genius I must say) and low and behold there is the knife I was asking about.

Logan5,
Yes that is the new DDR3.
These are very nice medium sized folders that will be out soon.
As you seen we have several options available for this one.
There will be 4 different models that can be made from one knife.
You can change bolster and blades to make 4 different knives.
The liners are thicker on this knife also to my specs.
We will also offer hardened unground blade for those who want to grind there own.

The blade is 3.65 in length!

We also have a contest worth 400 dollars that the pre reserve folks can win from knifekits.com.
Here is the link that tells you how to win.
