Hello! New to the forums, new to knives in general but can't wait to get some knowledge :)

I recently got my "Camillus Cuda CQB3 Black Ops Terzuola design"-knife in the mail and what a beauty! Can't wait to test it in the wild.

I have tried searching on the internet for information about Terzuola (his inventions, work and general history etc.) and the CQB3, but I've had no luck. Could anyone please point me in a direction as I want to learn as much as possible about the knife and its inventor.

As for the sheath, the knife does not fit as good as it should. The sheath is kydex, but does not make the sound/jump/sign to ensure the user that it is safely sheathed. I guess i need to refit the sheath, any good tutorial-sites on that? (I've searched for those as well, but I only got how to make new ones).

Lastly, this is possibly not the subforum for this, but I got a "Helle Samekniv" (http://www.oslosportslager.no/produkt/helle-lappland-samekniv-7538.aspx) which I would like to fit in a kydex sheath, is it possible? (The reason I'm asking is because of it's length, 34.2cm, and I have not seen anuplace on the net where someone has made a kydex sheath in this size) :)

That's it for my first time here, hehe.

Regards

The CQB-3 was made for a short time by Camillus.

It's essentially a CQB-1, but it has an epoxy coated 0170-6C carbon steel blade rather than stainless.
(The CQB-1 initially used ATS-34, and then 154CM.)

The CQB-3 shipped with a Propex nylon sheath and a Kydex sheath, unlike the CQB-1 which shipped with a Kydex sheath only.

And here's some info about Bob Terzuola:

Thank you!

Saddened to say, I know now that I have received something more close to plastic rather than kydex as the seller stated in the ad.

Kydex is a thermoplastic that is molded to fit something by heating up and forming around an item (Knife Blade etc.) It is indeed a plastic, and from my experience can be told apart from other sheaths by the texture. Kydex generally has a porous look and feel, while other plastic sheaths are smooth. Kydex Sheaths are also put together in a couple distinct ways, first, the top and bottom are riveted together in two complete halves. Second, the kydex is folded around the object and you only need rivets along the open 3 seems because the folded part acts like the binding of a book. I am by know means an expert on any sort of plastic, this is just the information I have picked up in my internet lurking. Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
