Camillus CUDA EDC blade steel identification

This may seem like a stupid question....

But how do I tell if the blade is 420HC or 154CM? Is there any indication on the blade? I've seen a few EDC but have not bought one yet due to inability to recognise the steel.

Mine has 154CM marked near the spine of the blade.

Mine's got 154CM. You might want to ask this in the Camillus forum since there's a possibility that there was more than one version made.

Just found this thread. Apparently 420HC was used in the earlier run and then switched to 154CM.

Well, that simply means that the EDC that I've handled is 420HC as there's no marking.

I like the 420HC on the Arclite but would prefer 154CM on the EDC since I'm paying the same price.

I'd go to AG Russell's website and get one with D2 alloy blade.

Or you could just go for it in Talonite.
