I received a Camillus CUDA EDC 154 cm as a gift last year. Very solid knife but I never have been pleased with it sharpness. It is hard to sharpen. It defies my attempts with a Lansky and the shape of the blade makes it difficult on a bench stone. I like the knife but if I can't put a nice edge on it like I can with other knives it will end up sitting a drawer. Since it was a gift I hesitate to sell it or give it away. Any ideas on how to sharpen it?

I re-bevelled mine with a diamond rod. You will not be able to sharpen the curved portions of the blade with Lansky-type sharpeners and stones. As my rod was an ultrafine one, this took quite a bit of work.

After re-bevelling, I then sharpened the entire blade on the Sharpmaker, using the corners of the rods.

If you don't have a Sharpmaker, you can just increase the angle of the diamond rod and lessen the pressure.

This should do it.
