Saw this cool looking stainless folder for what looks like a good price. Anyone have a comment about it?

Thanks....

I had two, One in 420 and the other Talonite. Both were exceptional knives and I enjoyed them. My only criticism was the blade size. My EDC's were carried as secondary tools. I would recommend them to anyone and they are well worth the money. my 420 always took a great edge and talonite is......Talonite!!!

I have the EDC with the 154-CM blade. It carries easily, opens smoothly, locks up rock solid, cuts well and is easily sharpened. I find camillus hard to beat and there customer service is 2nd to none. If you like the knife buy it the perfomance is there...

The CUDA EDC is the best high-end production integral lock you can buy. The overall blade and handle shape lend to comfortable use. The entire knife is very well made, great lock up, and solid feel. Get one and I can assure you that there will be no regrets. The Talonite version is the cheapest Talonite shod folder on the market...in fact it is the ONLY Talonite folder in production now.

Ive owned four of them. 2 in 420, 2 in 154cm. Its a great carrying knife!!! unfortunately the first two in 420 I bought had bad pitting in the blades. After one more time camillus made it right (one of the replacements they sent me had pitting too, but they did upgrade it to 154!). aside from that they're small, but very useful a pretty decent knife.

I bought a Talonie model a while back for pocket carry. It did not work, because I carried it in a pocket with loose change. The change kept getting into the kife and when I went to use it fell out (what a pain). A few weeks ago I took the clip off, and laced the back of the handle with a para-cord like shoe lace. Solved the problem, great every day pocket carry!!

The Camillus EDC is the only production folder to have ever competed with my Sebenza for daily carry. That's one GIANT recommendation!!!

I have one in 154CM that I use almost everday at work. I use it to cut zip-ties, strapping bands, and boxes. Works great, and is small and non-threatening to most co-workers.

The quality is top notch, and the knife is a steal at around $50. The action on mine is smooth and lockup tight. You can't ask for much more in a user knife at this price IMHO.

The humidity in CR must be working on your brain :D

I just wish Camillus would bring out a 4" EDC...THAT would be da bomb!

Likewise to everything said above. My favorite way to carry this knife is in my right rear pocket next to my bandanna. Flat enough to be comfortable back there. The only other comment I would add is to make sure that you have a sharpening system that can handle the recurved edge. The Sharpmaker works well on mine.

I have the EDC in the 154CM and Talonite versions and I can second the above glowing reports. It's a winner--very comfortable in the hand and easy to carry in just about any manner--dropped in the pocket, clipped--whatever. It's small, but it handles nicely.

I'd also like to see a slightly larger version--3.5" would do it for me.

I have 3 of these knives in 154CM. Excellent knives. My only complaint is that I would like it to be bigger.

Hi guys,

I'm a first time Camillus owner (just scored an ATS-34 4" Cuda quik-action folder and its *nice* :-)

Having said that I *THEN* had a look (online) at the CUDA MAXX 5.5" on their website and my first thought was "come to daddy":-)

I *need* this knife:-)

Unfortunately there is only one reasonable knife shop in the city in Australia where I live - and every single knife I am interested in checking out (before buying) is either "out of stock" or "not legal in Australia anymore":-(

Anyway - I'm seriously thinking of buying this one via knifecenter/whoever online - its a GREAT looking knife - and one of my issues has ALWAYS been how hard it is to get a *good* quality folder with a decent sized blade (you really seem to be pushing it to get anything above 4 inches...)

The ONLY reasonable quality large factory folder I've managed to get my hands on here was the Cold Steel Vacquero Grande - but this CUDA MAXX 5.5 *looks* like my prayers are answered:-)

Does ANYONE have any experience with this knife or know where I can find a decent review of it?

Thanks in advance:-)

I bought the Camillus EDC to be a more PC carry knife. Most of the folders I cary are very large (Cold Steel XL Voyagers, Vacquero Grande, REKAT SIfu, and the Camillus Maxx). So, when I went to get a smaller knife I bought the EDC in 154CM. It is a great little knife. It has great lock up and it is easy to open. Some of the smaller knives I was looking at (which cost much more than the EDC) were hard for me to one hand open. One of my favorite knives.

As for the above member regarding the Camillus Maxx. Great knife. Out of all the big folders I own and have owned I like the Maxx because it locks up solid and has a fairly flat profile. So even though it is big, it is not a burden to carry. I still like the Sifu in my hand ( just feels right) but it weights more and the poined handle sticks out of my pocket so I find myself reaching for the Maxx as an EDC knife.

Thanks for that feedback...

I started another thread elsewhere on the CUDA MAXX and the *only* feedback I've had has been VERY POSITIVE:-)

Took the plunge last night and ordered the sucker - now I just have to wait TWO WEEKS <sad sigh> for it to get here to the land down under:-(((

I need my new toy NOW - but I guess I'll just have to wait:-(

Joliver.

shame on guys!!! all this talk about the edc!!! I allready have the 420 and 154cm and now Im thinking about the new ats-34, not to mention Ive been thinking about ag russells d-2 model!!!! Ive been ok brushing off the talonite model do not (want to spend that much)!!!!

Ive found it to be a nice small folder that can do bigger jobs than most folders its size.

Kudos to Daryl and Camillus for this nice!!!! :D
