Which do you'all like better for everyday utility and potential for defense? I just can't decide and I only want one.

This might not adequately answer your question, but the best deal so far is the lowered pricing on the Tighe Tacs, considering what it cost when it first came out. Check to see how the supply is on these. They are exceptionally well made.

That being said, it's more of a dressy knife and seems to lack a guard for finger protection, whereas the Dominator has the frame lock and finger guard. AG Russel's version without the Robo-assist are mighty nice, with the blue anodizing. Assisted knives come very close to auto's in a LEO's mind, regardless the technical differences we all know exist.

Personally, I hate the Tighe Tac because of the lack of any kind of ergonomics.
I really like the dominator,
but you may also want to considier the Lone Wolf Harsey Ranger,
or it's little brother that isn't released yet.

I agree with Walking Man agreeing with Boink.

The LW Tighe is a great knife and extremely well made but it's more for office or night at the opera carry than self defense.

My vote goes to the Lone Wolf Tighe Tac because of quality. It is top notch, one step in front the Dominator, IMO.
