I had ordered a custom Ralph EDC in Talonite with carbon fiber scales, but since it took so long to arrive from the purveyor, I cancelled the order.

After reading the many posts about the Camillus EDC, I decided to try it out instead of ordering the custom.

After waiting for the eternity that it takes for the USPS to deliver in December, it finally arrived. I am extremely impressed by this knife. The fit and finish are excellent and it opens very smoothly. Plus, the blade is Talonite!

As far as I am concerned, at this point, I have saved myself $425.00 by purchasing this insted of the custom. I mean nothing against the custom, but this production is that good!

The only negative about it is that it was covered with a heavy film of oil in the package which I am still trying to clean off! I guess that they didn't want the Talonite blade to rust! ;)

I believe that this knife is probably the best bang for the buck in production knives. It won't replace my Chimera or my two Mayos, but it really is a great little knife.

Daniel,
Thanks for the kind words! I have one of the DDR customs that you mentioned....3.5" EDC, Ti frames, TALONITE blade. I love it, its awesome, and I carry it alot. I highly recommend it.

That being said, I carry a production folder most of the time. With my job, I do carry a CAMILLUS most of the time;) ,a nd of all the folders we make, the TALONITE EDC is the one I go to. This folder does it all for me. Hell, it skinned alot of deer this year. For an EDC type folder, I think TALONITE as a blade material is hard to beat.

Thanks for being a customer!
