Over the holidays I finally saw my first EDC in a local knife shop. With my expectations so high from comments on this board I thought that I would be disappointed. Well, I wasn't. I was very impressed with the size, shape, quality, and ergonomics, not to mention the cool looks. It felt like they used my hand for the pattern. Now that I am hooked I need to decide whether to get the serrated or the plain blade. I know this sounds like the "tastes great or less filling" debate. I am leaning toward the plain blade since it will probably be easier to sharpen. Your comments and preferences are welcome.

I personally prefer plain blades.Better looks, easier to sharpen and serrations just seem to get in the way.

Depends on what you want to do with it. I personally like partial serrations ever since being on a scout camping trip and cutting rope into lengths for knot tying...

I prefer plain edge. IMO, unless you do a lot of rope work, serrations really aren't that useful.
