I just received my ebay knife expecting a regular Camillus USMC knife that just happended to have a fully flat ground, unblued blade.
It looks just like the ebay photo except when I turn the blade over it's a commemorative with 425 of 1000 engraved on the blade.
The actual engraving is SGO425-1000. It can't be very old since it has 'desert storm, vietnam, korea, WW I, samolia, caribean, ww II 7 revolutionaly war" etched on the either side of the USMC shield.
It's very, very nicely done. Way more than I expected!
I bought it to use as a camp knife thinking it was a regular USMC knife.
The flat grind makes this blade lighter than my other USMC knives which would make it not as good a copper but it would be much better for cutting. The edge is finer that normal which I like very much.
Does anyone know the value of this knife?
I don't know if I use it as intended or sell it an buy a new one.
Thanks for your help,
