Camillus Folding camp knife--any place to purchase?

Howdy folks,

I had one of these--the SS Camillus folding camp knife, lost it, want another, but with Camillus out of business everyone seems sold out, at least the places I've checked.

I can find 'em used on the bay, but I'd prefer a new one, so I can put my own scratches on it!:D

Anyone got a suggestion on where to find one online or elsewhere? I miss one of my all-time favorite EDCs...

Thanks for any and all help,

Heekma

Are you talking about the model with "U.S." stamped on the side? They're sometimes called a "Demo Knife". With Camillus gone now, ebay may be your best source. Just watch for a new one at a decent price.

I believe that's the same I'm talking about, I'd post a link to a pic but I don't want to violate rules. They're all stainless, with a diamond plate kind of texture on the scales, have a blade, and aul, a can opener and a screwdriver/bottle opener. Also has a large steel loop on one end.

Lost mine when I moved @ 6 months ago, had that one for almost 20 years.

Best,

Esav,

I swear this place is like an Obstetrician--it always delivers.

Thanks again folks! I'll have my favorite EDC back in no time.

Best,

Heekma

I don't know. I can't believe there's much difference. We used to get them from an NSN catalog and I don't even know which company's we got.

I have an Ontario camp knife on the way. They do seem a bit pricey but I've always wanted one. I'm a former Army guy so I should have this in my knife collection. ;)

I just got my Ontario Camp Knife and the blade has ONTARIO USA on it. The blade shape is a bit different than the Camillus. It doesn't have as much belly. I am going off the Knife Center photo. I don't have an actual Camillus on hand. It was sharp enough to shave arm hair and cleanly slice thin cash register reciept paper. Al the corners are sharp. It's not as refined as a Vic Alox Soldier but I find the "crudeness" rather charming in an old school sort of way. I'm looking forward to carrying this thing. :)
