Camillus Funny Folder

I'd like to know when those little knives were made. I have two of them. Many years ago I saw a similar knive, only it was about 5 inches long, if I recall. Can't remember who made it.

I have About 7 of the longer funny folders made by B&B St. PaulMinn., Berkeley, Executive Line Italy, and several with no names on them. They all are advertising pieces except one, as far as age I would have to guess some where between the 30's & 50's Probably if I research some of the Businesses on theknives I would get a better idea of their age.

Can you provide me with additional information to help identify your Camillus knife. Is "Camillus" stamped on the blade? If so, how many lines? Is there a model number?
Many different models of Camillus knives were stamped like yours during the 1950's and 1960's and were given away as free samples.

There are no other markings or stampings of any kind anywhere on the blade or tang, the blade seems to be offset to one side, by pinning two pieces together at the pivot pin. If I can prvide abetter picture let me know.

This model is a Junior Swing knife that was first made in 1952. Camillus called this a model #193 (pattern #5715) and over 2,000 pieces were made during the 1950's. The stamping on the handle of your knife indicates that it was an advertising knife that was most likely used by salesman as a give-away to Camillus knife dealers or distributors. This knife is unique as many of the special parts were manufactured by outside suppliers. The special U shaped frame was made by G.E. Prentice Co. This is a rare knife and I have seen very few through the years.

Thanks for the information, this knife has been boppin' around my collection for about 10 years, now I'm actually glad no one bid on it, when it was listed on EBAY,

Thanks
