Greeting's, I am looking for the name of a knife I used to own, to help in buying a replacement blade.

It had a sliding thumbdisk opening mechanisim, aprox. 4" beadblast gray finish, steel liners and G-10 Handle.

I sold the knife to a friend/coworker, a couple of years back. While I thought it was a good knife. I never thought the ergonomics were quite right. He however loved it, till he set down for few minutes and one of his fellow Army National Guard weekend warrior's stole it.

Anyway I was hoping to find a replacement blade for him, before he has to deploy sometime in the near future to Iraq. Thought it would be a small gesture of appreciation for his service to send him off with his favorite knife.

Thanks for any help in this matter, of course Camillus being shut down will not make things any easier.

Certainly one of my favorite projects, I think we made about 250, best of luck in your search.

May I recomend the Spyderco Civilian as an upgrade?

Thanks for the info Phil, so does the low production number make Cuda Claw a collectors item?

I was thinking a Spyderco Superhawk might fit my friends needs, providing they don't take too long making it into production.

Spyderhawk would be a great alternative. A Harpy would even be a good choice as it is a little easier to find. I bidded on a "Cuda Claw" on ebay about 3 weeks ago. You might be able to search the completed listings and find the winner. It seems that thing went pretty high somewhere in the $250 range. I would personally like the spyderhawk. There is a lot of heft in that blade! I pick these up usually about $75-$100 each.
