hey guys i have never owned a camillus before and i have been looking for a decent rescue knife considering i recently joined my volunteer fire dept. but anyway i stumbled across a sale a few days ago for the camillus heat rescue knife for $19.00 with the blunt tip, window breaker, and assisted opening i said to my self this seems to good to pass up so i placed an order for one i was wondering if you guys have any reviews or comments on this knife? i am excited for it to come in the mail a few days :D

For that price, I don't know how you could possibly go wrong. I'm not familiar with that particular model, but every Camillus I've ever had, has been top quality. Since the factory closed, Ontario has made some of their products and the standards are still very high.

wow 2000 of these sounds pretty crazy... yes i ordered the red handled i beleive thats the only color the rescue comes in ups said it should be arriving so i will post my first thought cant wait ;]

HEAT RESCUE arrived today! seems like a great knife, much heavier than i had expected. Serrations are nice and sharp and i the handle grooves flow perfect with my medium size hands. The robo assist is nice but its much harder to engage the thumb stud or flipper to move compared to some of my kershaw's but the lockup is solid once the blade go's because the blade shoots out very strong. I am assuming the blade will go much easier after a little breaking in and for $20.00 i should have bought extras this is a great knife and i am more than pleased with my first impressions
