I was cutting an apple and orange inside my kitchen. And after about 4-5 hours had passed and After,I had long forgotten my knife on the table with juices of the orange covering the blade.I came back to wash the knife in the sink and noticed a bluish black stain on the blade.
I want to note that I have a plain edged Heat and that I have done this to several times before with my cold steel voyager which has never stained.Since,I have all tried to duplicated the conditions with the voyager and it has yet to stain.
I'm at a loss to what can be causing the blade to stain on the Heat because they're both AUS 8 steel which is suppose to be very stain resistant.
