Got a CE coated Heat today (picked it up off a forum sale for $35), and it's awesome.
The grinds are perfect, blade centering, lock-up, action, everything is top-notch. The scales don't feel cheap at all, the steel liners and the material itself lend to good rigidity and makes for a very solid feeling knife. Lots of contouring all around makes for a comfortable knife as well. The grooves provide decent traction for the thumb at the top of the handle.
The knife fires hard, so you have to hang on to it, and make sure nothing gets in the way. I've already cut myself twice with the back of the tip, after not giving the blade enough clearance.
No complaints about the clip at the moment, it's nice to see that there's a tool included to move it.
My only concern at the moment is how the liner is going to wear. I suppose I'll see after a few dozen openings. The linerlock is pretty interesting, with the folded-over nested lock and the large thumbstuds which serve as bladestops.
The edge is ground decently thin, and came shaving sharp from the factory. No idea on edge retention yet.
Overall, this is a great buy for the money if you still buy linerlocks and dig the assisted opening. This is my first Camillus (I think?) and first assisted opener, and I'll be rotating it into my EDC as a beater along with some higher-end production pieces. Very cool knife.
Edit: Spine-whacked it a bit, varying force, angle, section of blade, and the lock holds, with no movement of the lock.
