Camillus Hog Hunter

Anybody heard of a Camillus Hog Hunter knife- I was asked about one yesterday

The Hog Hunter knife is a Becker model #BK9HH. This knife was made for Ellett Brothers and both the top and bottom of the blade were sharpened.

I was at the Camillus factory on Thursday and I did not find a sample of the Hog Hunter. I will be at Camillus this week and I will keep looking.

Here's where to get one. Looks just like the regular BK9; in fact, I think they just used a stock photo of the BK9 for the illustration.

OK, if there are no pics of the actual model, how about some details as to the double edge grind?

Just a sharpened clip, or is the entire top of the blade ground to an edge?

My search came up with the above mentioned site also. I guess the pic of the regular 9 was done to give a general description.

I don't have to see an actual picture if someone can provide some details.

Approximately 2" on the top of the blade near the tip is sharpened. Other than this change the BK9HH is identical to the BK9.

p.s. Wendy Wilson found 8 pieces of the BK9HH at the Camillus factory. I will be visiting Camillus on April 28th and I will try to take some photos.
