I just watched this new Cohen Brother's film and Josh Brolin's character used what looked like a Camillus military issue pocket knife to unscrew a heating/AC vent.
The cool thing is another character looked at the ven't screws and reached into his pocket pulled out a handful of change and used a dime to undo the screws. That made me think of Jackknife's stories of old school ingenuity.
Good movie but very bloody.

I never could see it well enough to swear it was a Cam', but it definitely was some make of Scout!

Great movie also!!!

How was the movie, Bill?

I just read the book recently, and I have to confess I don't understand the popularity of Cormack McCarthy. But I am a fan of Tommy Lee Jones.

Please don't ruin the movie for any of those who haven't seen it yet by putting "spoilers" in this thread.

(I've read the book as well as many others by McCarthy. I always find him provocative.)

No spoilers here!
If you like Cohen Bros films, even the non funny films you will like it.
Yes Tommy Lee Jones rocks. All the acting was top notch.

Thanks for the consideration gents. And now if we can get back to Traditional Knives... ;)

If you like the book, you will like the movie, it's like having a dramatic reading of his books.

Josh Brolin gives THE performance of his career, Tommy Lee Jones is just perfect, and Javier Bardem gives the bad guy an edge that would make Hannibal Lector wet himself and run! :D

Thread being moved to Community since it's devolved into a discussion of McCarthy, his books and the movie.

Haven't read this one, but CM's "All The Pretty Horses" and "The Crossing" were both GREAT.
