in the current knives illustrated magazine, april 2007, there is a couple page article on the current camillus woes...

it outlines a few interesting things, such as camillus not paying ethan becker royalties for some time, as well as others like fisk, and so on.

as well as much other news regarding the company, their handling of the strike and workers, and much more.

worth a read.

I read the article also and I agree, it’s worth looking at. Many people speculated about Camillus and now those speculations are in hard print.

The one thing that is certain is the uncertainty of the company.

As the article states; Camillus is under new management, it’s still a skeleton of what it was, but there is hope.

I also like the statement that Camillus was the General Motors of the Knife industry. This statement in itself alludes to the necessity of the company’s survival.

Does anyone know the validity of the statement that some of the current owner are left wing anti knife, PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals) wack jobs? This doesn’t sound like a business for those types of people to be in.

Now I know Ive gotta read that article! :p

I just can't find anyone who carries it locally!!

So I ask again.... what can a handfull of workers do. With the experince gone on to other jobs, I guess they could hire some newbies who don't know the difference between the blade and the kiniffel joint pin.
