Hi, new to this forum. I am trying to identify a Camillus Knife I came across. It looks very similar to my Ka-Bar USMC knife; but the blade is polished, not parkerized, and the guard is bent like a bowie ~ instead of the traditional Ka-Bar style. The tang is stamped: U.S. CAMILLUS N.Y.. I can e-mail pics. I beleive it was made around 1950 or so. Thank you for your help!

There was a couple of models made for the commercial market.
One was the trailblazer, the other I think was (I think) just a polished blade (maybe stainless) model, but I can't remember the model number.
I'm sure someone will add to this.

Mountainwind identified your knife correctly. It is a model #1009 "TrailBlazer".
Your knife was made before 1975 ("N.Y." was dropped from the stamping in late 1974).
