A first-time poster here. I have browsed the previous posts and have learned alot but haven't seen this covered: Does Camillus make pocket knives for Ka-bar? I recently inherited my grandfather's Ka-bar Trapper (#1030). It looks very similar to a Camillus trapper.
Is there a list somewhere of all the brands that Camillus actually makes? I apologize if this has already been answered somewhere.
Thanks, J. Kelly

While Camillus boasts about being the king of the private label business, they don't openly say which companies they actually make knives for. Just wouldn't be right.

Thanks Cheryl, I understand that Camillus themselves would not publicize a list of clients.
I have seen it written by others that Camillus makes knives for Remington; this seems to be common knowledge. Being relatively new to this hobby, I was wondering if Ka-bar was a similar deal.
I enjoy the forum and have learned alot.

Hello,

Ka-Bar has been making knives for over 100 years in the USA (mostly in Olean, NY) and has a very rich heritage. Check out their web site for more info.
