It is a fixed blade full tang blade 7.75 inched in total so I'm thinking this would be a good edc fixed blade. It also has Micarta scales/Grips and Aus 8 steel it has some kind of coating on it called Carbonitride Titanium Coating which is apparently superb so the price seamed right.

I am currently waiting for the package to arrive. I guess my question to you guys is what is your experience with Camillus knives and what do you think about the les stroud line up they are coming out with. IMO it looks cheaply made like the bear grylls series but to be honest i have no clue so please comment i would love to hear your feedback on this as well as feed back on the company. I saw some pretty good looking folders which i might be interested in as well I found some fixed blade knives on their website with bamboo handles.

The Link to the website is http://www.camillusknives.com/

Camillus is an old American brand, they used to be located in Camillus NY. They closed a few years back. The name was bought by Acme. Acme outsources production, some are made in the US, but most are imports. They kept some of the old Camillus designs but also have some of their own.
Most of what I've seen looks to be ok in terms of quality and not badly priced.

Let us know what you think about the knife after you get it.
