Anyone buy any new Camillus knives with the Carbonitride coating? How do you like them? How's the F&F? How's QC? I know they're made offshore but I've still got them considered in the back of my mind. I'm looking specifically at the 8.25" VG10 knife they have right now and I've found it in a set with the 6.75" model for $75, is it worth it or get something else?
Sorry if there's another thread about the new Camillus owned by ACME, but I haven't found one.
Thank You ~ Tyrone.

I don't own any, but I've handled a few of the newer VG-10 line. F+F is actually pretty decent, far better than I would've thought. Maybe not quite as good as Spyderco, but definitely close to or better than most of the Japanese SOG's I've handled lately (I know, I know, not exactly a ringing endorsement).

As for "offshore", well, all knives made with VG-10 are manufactured in Japan, so you're likely to get a decent factory behind that particular line of blades.

Thanks for that info Sharp, I'm glad to hear they're not bad these days. As for better than the SOG's, i'm actually glad to hear that also. This actually put me a little closer to buying one.
