Hello,
I wanted to buy this knife thinking it was original and not a reproduction.
Anyway the fact that it has a single pin attaching the end cap to the handle rather than two pins makes me wonder if it were not a reproduction.
Any hints very appreciated.
thank you

I had to go look at my father's trench knife. It has two pings but it is a different make.
If I may ask, what is the seller trying to get out of the knife? If asking the price is considered against the rules here on BF, please ignore my question.

below $80. Anyway I am not really happy to get a reproduction, and I have some doubt if it's original or a reproduction

You're going to spend a lot more than that if you want a real one. Mine has been appraised at 3 bills and it is not in the best of shape.

Boker makes repros that look decent enough but they are China production. Look for the word "China" on the underside of the blade. Most real ones I've seen don't have the markings on the blade. They are out there but, it is my understanding that most have the markings on the guard.

It is a fun knife to own, however, the M3 is not a very practical knife. But, I'm sure you already know that. Any special reason you want to add one to your collection?
