Camillus made Buck steel

does anybody know what steel they were using when they made the Buck black handled slipjoints?

I'm it was 440. Not sure if it was A or B. I want to say A.

thanks, that seems to be the usual response. is there anybody that can be sure of which one? and what do you think of how it's done: how it holds an edge? edge quality

Go to the Buck area and do a search of steel type and it should come up with an answer.

The Buck #300 series knives made by Camillus have 440A stainless steel blades.
