Camillus made Remington?

I hope someone here can help me. I have been looking on line at the Remington R-1306 Tracker which I have been told was made for Remington by Camillus and if so should be a pretty good knife.
My question is were these knives made in different grades. The ones I see on line are supposedly all made in 1990 mod R-1306 Trackers but I have seen them in different colored boxes, green, tan & gray.

I bought a R306 in a green box which I thought was the same knife with different scales and was totally underwhelmed with the fit and finish. The liners were not flush with the scales and had sharp edges where they met, the bullet shield looked like it had been melted into place and the lock did not fit flush when the knife was open. It says made in the U.S.A. but???

Are there any counterfits or chinese made remington knives on the market? I have a 90s vintage Reminton UMC scout type knife and it"s a great knife, it is head and shoulders above this R-306 I bought. I wanted a nice classic looking carry knife but honestly I would be ashamed to show this one to anyone.
Thanks for your help.
