I saw them in a cuttlery (in Paris, France) and i remarked that they were not very expensive. What is your opinion about those knives?

In fact, i wanted to buy a spyderco police (i know it has nothing to do with this one) but i found it less expensive and bigger.
I would use a knife especially for every day use, treking and country house...

Inexpensive, but durable knife, if Will Fenell is right, the new Camillus Combat/Utility-7 is a significant improvement for a few dollars more.

If you buy any of the Camillus Becker series knives, hold it carefully! I have the Magnum Camp and the Becker machete. I cut myself with both of them, while holding them with the blade pointed up and a loose grip.

The culprit is the slick handle and rounded guard. When I inadvertantly relaxed my grip, the knives slid down and the slick, rounded guard just rolled over my hand, offering no resistance. Now both of my Beckers have improvised guards, tied on with steel wire.

The Camillus Marine knife has a tackier grip and straight steel double guard, making it far less accident prone.

It is a good, tough general utility knife. It was designed for the military to be used for everything from hand-to-hand combat to opening crates and digging foxholes. It has proven to be a very versatile heavy duty knife.

That is made to be used for anything that a knife can be expected to do. For around the country home and general utility the USMC is a fine knife. Thousands of Marines swear by them. I have owned one and gave it to a friend many years ago. I saw it the other day and it was as dull as a butter knife. But otherwise looked real good and he uses it hard with almost no maintenance. Personally I say go for it.

I always liked the Mk 2, however I got my new Camillus C/U 7 today. IMHO a very significant improvement for a small amount more money.
