Okay, I know that they are all very different types of knives. Just know that I have plenty of other knives, and I'm not interested in these for a specific use, but want something "different" I own only one fixed blade, but really like the TekLoc(sp?) and I am also interested in something with Talonite, and that Maxx is just plain awesome. So, price being about equal, which one has the more "wow" for the buck?

Any thoughts appreciated, and needed.

I think the Maxx is the hands down winner in the WOW category...hard to find, though...
 
Well the MAxx is the most recent and therefore the most fashionable right now, but it depends what you mean by WOW factor. If you mean purely aesthetic, then go for the Maxx. If you mean you want to go WOW when using it, go for either of the talonite blades. Can't beath this stuff for use. Choice of fixed or folding is up to you, but I'd pick the EDC. I bought a talonite bladed one about a fortnight ago and all my other folders have been relegated to backup/shelf-sitting.
 
Go with the Maxx if you can find one. They are the WOW folder!! I have the EDC and the Maxx. For pure WOW, the Maxx is it. I also do not feel that the D-2 steel is all that much of a step down from Talonite. Except in the corosion resisting factor. At 150ish, getting D-2 and Titanium in a monster package it a killer deal!
 
Gotta agree with all that you guys said but it sure is hard to pick between knives that are entirely different. The EDC in talonite is just that . . . an EVERY day carry. You would probably "use" it more. The MAXX is without doubt the most unbelievable production piece out there in that price range. (IMHO) The mini-talon is great too . . . you just have to like neckers . . . they don't work well for me. You cannot go wrong with those choices though!

Since it is just for fun, I would go for the Maxx. If you get bored, I bet it will have good trdae value. If you can't find one email me. (Email me anyway)
 
MAXX wins the WOW!
Talonite EDC wins the utility category IMHO
The Mini-Talon is really too small to be of much use, again IMHO.
