Where there, are there any of these made with natural material scales? I mean like stag or bone or wood or mother of pearl or something. Also, why is this not made with a split backspring, true whittler design? It is a great functional knife, but it would be nicer with these options, better than Buck or Case. In my opinion the Camillus has better steel but the Cases look real nice.
 
I can answer your first question. Camillus made a run of bone handled knives that included that particular pattern. I belive it was a one time deal. Camillus currently makes that pattern in rosewood (Sales No. 5).
