Camillus Pilot Survival Knife, sheath issues

Hi all.

I have a Camillus PSK that I love. It's my camping/hiking knife and really does everything I need it to do.

But my problem with it is the sheath. The closure flap for the stone compartment is rivetted to the sheath, and the backs of the rivets aren't covered. So every time the knife is drawn, there's a nice white scratch in the powder coat.

I've emailed Ontario about buying a sheath for their new ASEK, but haven't gotten a reponse. Do all the PSK sheathes (even those not made by Camillus) have this same problem?

Fortunately, the scratches buff out, and if I'm careful I can draw the knife without hitting the rivets. But it's still a problem (I don't want to finally go through the coating and damage the blade itself).

Any suggestions?

If possible I would glue a piece of scrap leather over each exposed rivet. It may be hard to work in the confines of the sheath though. I have some sheaths that have had this done at the time of manufacture.
