I am looking at two Camillus lock-back knives. One is model #3 and the other is #3T. The #3 has an older Camillus tang stamp than the #3T. Is that the only reason for the ‘T’ designation, or does it mean something else?

I believe the “T” was to denote a Turkish style clip (more slender, with a longer clip section) than the standard American style clip. But I could be wrong.

You're right, "T" was added around the start of the 90's to denote a Turkish clip. Original poster, if you're not familiar, look up a Turkish clip, it's very much different than a standard.

Edit - good pic of a early 90's 3T - https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/camillus-3t-lock-folding-knife-case-506511570 .
