I'm being tempted by a sweet looking Camillus trapper with stainless steel blades. I'm wondering how Camillus's ss blades do for taking and holding an edge. I know it's not a wonder steel, so I'm not looking for something super.

Their ss blades, none have displeased me. I have MODEL 72 whittler in carbon steel and another in stainless steel. The latter one takes and holds an edge better than the older carbon steel one hands down. Maybe I have been lucky but all the YELO-JACKT knives I have used have all had excellent blades. The double lockback YELO-JACKT canoe is the equal of any knife in my collection for keenness and edge holding qualitires. It is one of the best pocketknives I have ever used.

They use rolled sheet 420 in their stainless, typical of them, schrade, others, etc.
