Picked up a nice little Senator over the weekend. The sheepfoot blade has the number 40 stamped on the reverse side of the Camillus stamp. Would anyone happen to know what the # refers to? Also , the knife has good snap on the blades. What value am I looking at.Handle material is jigged red-bone. Thanks for the site and any info any may have to share, Dale Hemphill

If you go to collectors-of-camillus.us you'll find catalogs where you can probably find the information you're looking for. By the way, the number refers to the model. As far as value, that's pretty much determined buy what they sell for on ebay.
