I am not going to link to this ebay auction as I do not want to be accused of shilling for the seller, but is anyone else watching the large Camillus store display currently on ebay? Would be a wonderful buy for a collector but I believe the $2000 starting price is more than what the market will bear.
Just wanted to know if any other Camillus fans were noticing this auction.

Hello , I also am watching this, You are correct on the price,
A bit high I think !!!

I agree. Awesome display, but at an average of $50.00 per knife, I don't think it will sell. I'd sure like to get a better look at some of those knives. Not real familiar with Camillus. Anyone have an idea of the age of these knives? It does not appear as if there is any packaging or paperwork.

I guess I'm not looking in the right place but I can't find it. I looked for it in the camillus knife section of ebay. Can someone please tell the item number? Thanks. Tom

It's listed in Collectibles > Knives, Swords & Blades > Folding Knives > Modern (1970 - Now) > Factory Manufactured > Camillus

I'd love to have something like that, but $2,000 plus pick up in Wisconsin makes it pretty hard to consider.

My guess is this from the 1970s based on the style of the logos and the construction of the case. I was looking for the use of the slanted Camillus mark a while back, and the earliest I could find it was in a catalog from the early 1970s. It looks like it's made from plastic veneer on particle board, and it has a pilot's knife, so that probably means that it's not older than the 1960s.

Oh, and it looks like there's a picture of this display or something very similar in the 1973-74 catalog.
