Hello everyone. I'm new here, and find these forums fascinating and informative. And this forum is real lucky to have real 'factory guys' here. I like that. I've just recently started collecting Camillus knives, and have quickly developed a real fondness for them. I don't know why they are not rated more highly as collectables, particularly as the company as made so many collectable knives for other firms (like Remington Bullet knives). My question is about toothpick/fishknives, which I particularly enjoy collecting. The original 'bad boy knife' and when I was living and hunting in the southern USA, in the late 60s and 70s, it seemed to be the most popular brand. Now I have the CCC-3 and the current Remington version ('mariner bullet, 2001) and quite a few Camcos... but did Camillus or Silver Sword make any others? Thanks again for having this forum. Nice to meet ya'll.

sgt.strawberry, Welcome to our group!! You sound like a kindred spirit. I, too,
have a great deal of fondness for Camillus knives. My thing is the Yello-jackets.
I have them all. I carried a military Camillus (1966) camp knife for years, replacing
it with a Buck (Camillus made) 307 yellow handled stockman. Yep, you're correct
Toothpicks do have an attraction to them. To bad they don't make them anymore.
Enjoy your new hobby. I've had a ton of fun collecting / trading knives.

Camillus has offered several models of fishing knives during the past 100+ years. Before WWII Sword Brand models like the #1003 and #1004 were a popular knife. After WWII models #5 (Fisherman's Luck), #25, #31 and #32 (American Wildlife) were manufactured. If you e-mail me your postal mailing address, I will send you copies of our older catalog sheets showing these knives.

Nice to meetcha, Tightwad. Actually I've been collecting knives for years, just recently decided to add the Camillus brand.

Tom, thank you very much for the information. I will send you my address. You have been very helpful so far. Say, if your company ever gets interested in expanding the Yello-jacket (I notice it has contracted over the years) lineup, a toothpick or Fishing knife would be a good choice. Yellow does seem to be the traditional color for a fishknife. However, I bet everyone here has several suggestions of what they would like to see Camillus make for us. I do appreciate the quality products.

Thanks!
Strawberry
