Well, the big brown truck came and dropped off a new toy.

I will post a longer review in the appropriate forum, but for now will leave a short and sweet teaser here.

Perfectly ground, finished, and sheathed the CQB-1 will impress.

The knife screams "tactical".

The Blade-Tech kydex is impeccably formed and has a multitude of positions as far as I can tell, even including as standard the Terzuola-Wegner TEK-LOK fastener.

The sleek blade handles well in forward and reverse grip, and the contoured canvas micarta scales are well executed.

Camillus has gone to a new matte finish for this ATS-34 knife, and it really works. It reminds me of the ceramic blast Kit Carson does to his customs-nice touch.

Oh-it comes with a free Tuf-Cloth too!

This one should hit the street around $150.
Its worth every penny.

Cool!!!
I have an ATCF ( I THINK that's the letters!) and the quality's outstanding!
Where can we see what it looks like?

V.G.,
I'll try to get a pic up on the CAMILLUS forum tomorrow. I gotta talk to Mikey about doing that,....one more thing on the list for Monday!

Joel Pirela is finishing up a new ad for it, maybe we can get that up soon. Any questions, you'll find me on the CAMILLUS forum. Thanks for the interest.

V.G.,
I'm smarter than I thought, and at a friends urging, firgured out how to put some scans on photopoint.com .

You now have some pics of the new TERZOULA/CUDA CQB-1 availible for your viewing pleasure on the CAMILLUS forum.

BTW, thanks for the kind words Anthony, have you cut yourself yet....its only a matter of time!

Felix,
Thanks for the interest! Yes the false edge on the CQB-1 is left UNSHARPENED. This is done on-purpose, to avoid legal problems in some states and locals. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the kind words everybody,....Bob T. should be blushing

Will...

Thanks for the confirmation! I asked specifically because of the "dagger" laws here in California. I will definitely be getting one soon (a nice little Xmas present to myself). Keep up the excellent work!

Once again I saw one at Beck's. Very nice looking fixed blade. Beck's did have two custom Terzuola's and one looked almost like the CQB-1, might have been a prototype. No telling. All three were nice.

as the not-so-proud owner of a Blackmoor 2000, I can tell tell you that a comparison of the two knives from a quality, craftsmanship, and design standpoint is impossible.

The BJK Blackmoor 2000's were made from leftover Applegate fairbairn blanks and mortice tanged with paper micarta handles. The sheath is an abomination. The handles are slick with no index point. Grind lines are wavy and uneven.

12C27? Not comparable to ATS34. Most of the blackmoors were sand blasted. The CUDA CQB has the "slik matte" finish. While I can see your aesthetic comparison, if you hold the 2 knives they are NIGHT AND DAY.

Thanks.

I gotta chime in here, too. I'm VERY impressed with my new CQB-1.

Great lines, fit and finish, the sheath system is excellent and the knife is comfortable in the hand.

Thanks, Camillus!

Mike
