i think camillus should put the 5 inch toothpick back into production i think they would sell alot of them just a thought

As you might be able to tell by my screen name here... I agree one hundred percent. I think a five inch toothpick in the yello-jaket series would be perfect.

Probably my favorite Camillus toothpick is the 7mm Mauser from the Classic Cartridge series. Great bone handles, neat blade etches. Followed closely by the American Wildlife series pale faux bone two blade toothpick.

thanks for your reply, my nicest camillus is a celluloid 4 line like brand new dark red handles but i like the i think model5 fish knife 1 blade, yellow handle more toothpick than fishknife but with sharpening stone in handle. As for new ones one with the western stamp would be perfect.

I don't have a pic of mine handy, but here is a good question: Who made the only military issue toothpick? (well, toothpick fishing knife, actually). Camillus of course! You can find these on Ebay, easy to tell them as the bail is on the Front bolster. The knife was included in the pilot bail out kit or with a liferaft. Black comp jigged handles.

i bought one of these about 15 to 20 years ago and just thought it was a regular fish knife to add to my collection thats when i started collecting fish knives when they were almost free because nobody wanted them

Hope it's o.k. to bump a thread this old. I just bought a Camillus 5" toothpick for $21. It's the American Wildlife series (bass). I haven't gotten it in hand yet and have a question - is the 5" number folded? So the blade should 4"+ making it almost a 10" large toothpick? With all these tiny toothpicks around I get nervous when I buy without a pic of the knife on a ruler. The small ones run 3" closed and around 5" open, so it's easy to confuse the two.

Huh. That's interesting. Your Bass handles look smooth. This is the photo of the knife I got (not in hand yet) which has a jigged bone handle. Is this a different model or possibly a fake? Now I'm concerned.....

Maybe mine was redone? The gouged areas definitely look darker than the raised areas and I see two extra pins at either end, where the original has only the single pin, and they're a smaller size......

The handles appear to be original to that model. Note the bevel around the pewter inlay. I see what you mean about the pins. Perhaps Camillus pinned the handles on later models, but I am only speculating.
